It’s been an exciting term for Year 9 students involved in the Connections Personal Challenge program with each TLC group participating in a series of adventure-based activities designed to take students outside of their comfort zone and further develop skills in teamwork, leadership, organisation, persistence and self-management. The last of these activities took place earlier last week and its now time for students to prepare for their Round Table Assessment. This Tuesday students will be dedicated to this task and students will present their work to a panel immediately following the holiday break. During the presentation, students will be required to provide a detailed account of the aims of the Personal Challenge theme and more specifically, how these aims have been achieved. Students are also required to discuss and provide examples of Employability Skill development and the learning outcomes achieved whilst participating in the physical activities and the overnight hike experience. Finally, students must present their Visual Diary and Employability Skills Workbook for assessment. We wish students all the best with this task and are sure that some amazing pieces of work will be presented.
